On November 14th, 2014 the celebration of the second edition of the Duurzame Jonge 100 (Sustainable Young 100) took place in Pakhuis de Zwijger. We are proud and honored to announce that two of our own team members, Arjanna van der Plas and Chloe de Roos Feinberg are selected as two of the DJ100. Also our Circle of Consciousness member Thalita van Ogtrop and Circle of Action member Sanderine van Odijk, became part of this group of inspiring young leaders under the age of 32.

THE JURY

The jury consisted of a mix of well-known and lesser known figures from both the older as well as the younger generation. Candidates were assessed on indicators such as impact, vision, inspiration, innovation and the role model function they (can) fulfill.

NOT A RANKING

The DJ100 list is decidedly not a ranking. This does not coincide with the way of thinking of this generation, which is based on values such as collaboration and connectedness. With these young exemplary figures the goal of the DJ100 is to show that everybody can contribute to a more sustainable future. The DJ100 are therefore placed adjacently and divided into categories.

In an article by Metro, co-founder Anne Walraven comments (translated to English): “We want to put one hundred young people in the spotlight that in their own way contribute to a more sustainable world. When you list all these people that aren’t afraid to tackle some of the world’s biggest challenges, it leaves you amazed. It’s a list that makes you yearn for the future.”
