The small scale of the country and its level of urbanization, the mainports and its function as transportation hub make the Netherlands an ideal living lab.That is why Circle Economy joined forces with Delta Development, INSID and the Social Economic Council (SER) to start up the Netherlands Circular Hotspot campaign. The campaign consists out of several sub projects and complements the Realisation of Acceleration of a Circular Economy (RACE) program. The RACE program, led by a broad coalition, is aimed at realisation an acceleration towards a circular economy within the Netherlands. For more about this initiative see Nederland Circulair. The NLCH campaign is aimed at sharing the insights from innovative Dutch projects and organisations with the rest of the world. This will speed up the global acceleration towards a circular economy. The Netherlands as a circular hotspot

We believe the Netherlands provides a great breeding ground for a circular economy, challenging the rest of the world to follow the Dutch example. Therefore, after a consultation with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, we’ve set up two programs leading to one shared objective: positioning the Netherlands as a circular hotspot.
