The five winners of the 2014 Nudge Leadership Challenge (Matthias Veltkamp, Isolde van Meerwijk, Rob Jetten, Thomas Hermans and Marloes van Kats) will travel across Europe by train from 11 – 21 May with a special mission: They will connect and share knowledge, expertise and networks, giving circular economy in Europe the next positive impulse and engaging the next generation.Nudge is a Dutch social enterprise and B Corporation founded in 2010, connecting people and organisations to realise bottom-up initiatives that bring positive and durable changes to our society. Nudge believes that knowledge and expertise is worth more when shared, and facilitates this through her platform and broad network.The winners of the 2014 Nudge Leadership Challenge, 5 young professionals working at ProRail, RWE, KLM, University of Utrecht and VU University Amsterdam, will visit the cities of Rotterdam, Kalundborg, Hamburg, Budapest, Paris, Milan and Brussels, where they will act as Nudge ambassadors for the circular economy. In each city they will visit tangible circular economy examples, raising awareness for the importance of a circular economy in Europe and giving the circular economy a firm ‘nudge’ by connecting individuals and organisations working on or interested in circular initiatives. On their train trip through Europe they will be accompanied by circular economy experts and representatives of the Nudge team.To follow their journey, visit the Nudge Sustainability Hub website.
