As an official affiliate event of COP 25, the 10th annual Sustainable Innovation Forum 2019 will build on the success of the last 9 years to deliver the most engaging, informative and wide-reaching Forum yet – on the sidelines of COP 25.
With COP 25 being hailed by the UNFCCC as ‘Paris 2.0’, the Sustainable Innovation Forum 2019 presents a crucial opportunity to drive forward the Paris Agreement framework by bringing together 600 delegates engaged with fast-tracking the global green economy.
The forum will open with an innovation day providing thought leadership, deep-dive discussions, capacity building and networking on five key themes: Circular Economy, Energy Transition, Sustainable Mobility, Climate Finance, and the brand new Natural Capital. Day two will deliver further high-level policy discussion and debate, structured and informal networking. The day will also include inspirational keynote speeches by leading ministers, cities, multilateral organisations, investors and private sector vendors and solution providers, and the new formats Lightning Pitches and Solutions Sessions.
The Sustainable Innovation Forum, hosted by Climate Action, has been a visible presence at the UN’s climate change negotiations for almost a decade. This includes playing a part in the historic 2015 Paris Agreement.
The Forum will address five key drivers for climate action: Energy Transition, Sustainable Mobility, Climate Finance, Circular Economy and Natural Capital. As we move ever closer to the 1.5C limit, the Forum presents a critical opportunity to drive forward the Paris Agreement framework by bringing together 600 delegates responsible for accelerating the transition to a zero-carbon, green economy as well as 85 speakers from 80 countries.
